What We Offer

The French Cultural Center provides an authentic French cultural and social experience.

Our library presents a collection of approximately 25,000 French books, including contemporary fiction, literary criticism, biography, and history. Our children's library offers more than 1000 picture and story books for those under twelve.

Speaking French is not a requirement for membership at the French Cultural Center. Our Education Department offers a wide variety of French classes as well as pedagogical workshops for teachers taught by our native French-speaking faculty.

Each year, we offer more than 100 cultural events of all kind:

      - Art exhibitions: change monthly and are free and open to the public.

      - Cooking classes and wine tastings by some of Boston's finest chefs.

      - Music programs featuring local and international musicians.

      - Lectures, book signings and panel discussions (in French and in English) exploring current events, art history, francophone cultures, travel, cinema.

Translation, Interpretation & Corporate Language Services are available. For more information, please contact the Center or send your request directly to the Translation Department at translation@frenchculturalcenter.org. Our services include the following : certified translations, editing, transcription, voiceovers, dubbing, subtitling, on-camera recording, narration, announcing.

Function rentals: our beautiful Victorian mansion is the ideal setting for corporate meetings and special events. Please contact us at 617.912.0400 for rental information and availabilities.

Field trips: We welcome school groups of all ages for cultural and educational field trips. Field trips are tailored depending on your groups'itinerary, age, and level of French. We offer two tracks of field trips:

        - Guided tour of the center: consists of visiting the library, gallery, and ballroom with the possibility of showing a movie.

        - Educational workshops: attend a cooking class, study short films, explore our library on a  scavenger hunt, and more!
