Event Description

We are now offering a weekly Yoga in French class where everybody is welcome! People with no experience, beginners or more advanced yoga students will enjoy this unique experience. The class will be mainly taught in French but, as Aurélie is bilingual, she will be able to help you and give you posture modifications in English if necessary.

Vinyasa, which means "connection of movement and breath," is a flowing style of yoga. Vinyasa yoga consists of a creative series of poses (asanas) to strengthen the body and mind. You learn safe alignment in basic postures and sun salutations, through mindful work and attention to the breath.

This class is a relaxing led practice incorporating the foundations of a solid yoga practice to cultivate strength and flexibility. It integrates breathing exercises (pranayama), fundamentals of yoga poses and guided relaxation.

It will be a positive, empowering and relaxing experience for both beginners and more advanced students. Posture modifications are given during the class.

Please advise Aurélie of any injuries or special physical needs that you might have prior to the beginning of the class.

About the Instructor, Aurélie Gaering

Aurélie Gaering is French and was born in the South of France, in the lovely city of Aix-en-Provence. She studied at a Business School in Strasbourg and worked there for a Sport company. She moved to Amsterdam more than 2 years ago for a job opportunity. She finally decided to move to the USA this year with her husband and she loves Boston!

She is a Vinyasa Yoga Teacher and she graduated from South Boston Yoga (YTT Summer 2013). She is a registered yoga teacher at Yoga Alliance. She fell in love with yoga because yoga is more than "moving," it is the "union of mind and body." She learned how to connect fully with her body, her breath and herself. She emphasizes yoga as a great way to accept "what is," with no judgement, to be fully present in each moment.

Aurélie is teaching yoga, as a way to share her love, joy and energy to this flowing style of yoga which can enrich our lives with great vitality, balance and peace.
